Dear Editor: It is a hearty thank-you that I give to all the citizens and voters of Aspen. We truly live in one of the most wonderful communities of the world. I am very proud to have spent the last month speaking to the many residents of Aspen during my campaign for City Council. Every single person I spoke to treated me with respect and candor. It is challenging at best to run for public office without accepting campaign contributions or support from special-interest groups. I personally went to well over 600 homes to hear what people have to say. There is a common theme to fix the entrance, direct traffic flow for minimum impact in the core, retain local businesses, have reasonable growth and promote employee housing. No matter the outcome of the elections, I am truly grateful for all the unsolicited support I received.
