Thanks and more thanks

Dear Editor:On Oct. 17, Spring Board held its annual Give Some Get Some fundraiser at the Cantina in Aspen. Through the generous support of individuals and local businesses, we raised more than $11,500 to grant to local youth-serving nonprofits through the Spring Board Advised Fund at Aspen Community Foundation. This process gives the young adult members of the Spring Board the opportunity to start giving back to the community at an early age, while gaining the skills and experience of being on a nonprofit board. Give Some Get Some is critical to achieving the Spring Boards mission of engaging our generation in the Roaring Fork Valley and empowering them to invest in their community through charitable giving and volunteerism. The Spring Board is grateful to the following supporters of this fundraiser:Donors: Alpine Bank, Centurion PartnersEvent Sponsors: the Cantina, DJ Dylan and Platinum Productions, Flying Dog BrewerySilent Auction Donors: Alpine Bank, Anderson Ranch Arts Center, Annabelle Inn, Aspen Art Museum, Aspen Center for Environmental Studies, Aspen Club and Spa, Aspen Cross Country Center, Aspen Daily News, The Aspen Institute, Aspen Music Festival, Aspen Recreation Center, Aspen Skiing Co., The Aspen Times, Avalanche Ranch, Backbone Media, Beads for Life, Big Wrap, Bikrams Yoga, Bryan Harding Photography, Cantina, Carbondale Cooking School, Cos Bar, Crystal River Grass Fed Beef, Elements, Ellas, Flying Dog Ranch, Dina Bloom, Fresh & Wyld, Gamekeepers Management, Gorsuch LTD, Green Glass, GreenSpot, Hair Brainz, Hamilton Sports, Harmony Scott, High Society Freeride Company, Holy Cross Energy, Independence Run and Hike, Iota, Janine Cuthbertson, Midland Shoe, Olives Restaurant, Pixie Byrne, River Suite Inn, Riverside Grill, Rocky Mountain Pet Shop, Salon Tullio, Sashae Floral, Sarah Murray, Smiling Moose Deli, Sopris Foundation, Sunlight Ski Resort, Te Zaal, Traffic, Ute City Cycles, Ute City Ware, Vals Gourmet Delicatessen, Village Smithy, Waste Solutions and the Woody Creek Tavern. And, as always, we extend our thanks to the Aspen Community Foundation for its continued support of this fund.Krystal England, vice chairSpring Board Advised Fund at Aspen Community FoundationBasalt
