Thanking McSwain

Dear Editor:

On June 1 a wonderful man in our community retired from his job with Valley View Hospital.

If you have been in this beautiful facility, you already know what great care you receive from everyone working there.

You already know what an attractive place it is, how patients and their families are made to feel as comfortable as possible when they are in stressful situations.

We are so fortunate to have this outstanding hospital in our valley that has received national recognition for excellence.

What you might not know is the role Frank McSwain has played in the success of Valley View.

For the past seven and one half years, Frank has poured his heart and soul into his job as executive director of the Hospital Foundation. The Foundation was established to raise the dollars necessary to make Valley View the exemplary place it is and to build public awareness and support between the hospital and the community.

Frank has been this bridge and has done his job so successfully. He has been the face of passion and compassion reaching out to the entire valley, encouraging monetary gifts that have made Valley View the beautiful place it is. He has been promoter, tour director, a voice of encouragement to staff and patients alike. Always a team member, Frank has worked for the good of the whole hospital as it has expanded.

We thank you, Frank ! We are very sorry to see you retire and words can’t begin to express our appreciation for what you have done for all of us. Whatever business or group you turn your talents to next, they will be lucky to have you. You will be missed and we wish you the very best. God Bless.
