Thank you, Sid Harman
Dear Editor: This last Saturday evening, July 1, my wife and I attended “An Evening of Words and Music” at the Benedict Music Tent. We were pleasantly surprised; David Gergen was his usual best, Sen. John McCain always informative, and of course Orli Shaham, how very special. This season, new Harman speakers were added to the sound system to improve the sound quality of the spoken word – it works! And the surprise – U.S. Rep. Jane Harman, during the Q&A segment of the presentation, took special notice of how well the new speakers, did in fact, improve the sound quality in the tent. Best of all, Rep. Harman made an announcement that, her husband, Sid Harman was contributing the speakers to the Aspen Music Festival and School. The audience with great appreciation applauded Sid Harman for his generosity. I want to thank the Harman Co. and especially Sid Harman for this thoughtful gift; it will be enjoyed by all.Arnold PorathAspen

It’s hard to fight City Hall and even harder to fight well-funded neighbors who don’t want any development near them, a local man has realized. So he settled for less than what he and his partner bought the property for.
