Thank you from Mountain Rescue

Dear Editor:

This past weekend Mountain Rescue Aspen hosted our most successful Avalanche Awareness Community Workshop in the 26-year history of the event. More than 150 people attended the Friday-evening lecture at The Little Nell, and 130 people participated in the Saturday hands-on tour on Richmond Ridge.

We wish the thank the media for their help in promotion, the attendees, Brian McCall from Colorado Avalanche Information Center, Matt Huber from Snowmass Ski Patrol, and, of course, all of our MRA volunteers.

A special note of appreciation is reserved for the Aspen Skiing Co. which generously donated gondola passes for our participants and the conference room at The Little Nell on Friday and Saturday evenings. This allowed us to use our funds for educational materials, marketing and staging the workshop. Ragan Grossman and her entire events staff catered to our every need and treated us as though we were paying top dollar for this wonderful and conveniently located venue.

See you next year.
