Tents for Haiti

Dear Editor:

The Boy Scouts of Troop 242 in Basalt are taking donations of tents, which will provide much-needed shelters for Haiti earthquake victims. Please drop tents off by no later than Feb. 14 at the new Basalt Public Library circulation desk during regular library hours. Please do not drop off tents when the library is closed.

There is a greater need for larger tents, but any size tent you can donate for this cause would be appreciated – this is a terrific way to put that tent that is just taking up space in your storage to good use! Tents received will be inspected by the Boy Scouts, then sent to Haiti through the God’s Littlest Angels organization in Colorado Springs.
