Tennis tourney to benefit animals

The fourth annual Aspen for Animals tennis tournament will be held this week at the Aspen Golf and Tennis Club, located along Highway 82 at the edge of Aspen.

The NTRP-sanctioned tournament will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Play will be available in men’s and women’s singles and doubles at the 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and open levels.

The tournament is a fundraiser for the Aspen Animal Shelter.

Aspen council continues push to elevate mental health conversation

After a robust conversation last week about the mental health concerns in Aspen, the City Council on Monday night stressed it would like to host a community forum or at least take a stronger role in being the conduit to connect resources for those who need help in a crisis.
