Taylor-made for Aspen

Dear Editor:My brother, Briggs Gamblin, recently wrote an editorial thanking Aspen for their hospitality to my father G. Taylor Gamblin during the years he lived there. I ditto that!My father’s death was unexpected on April 12 and tragic. My thanks go out to St. Mary Catholic parish along with Father O’Brien. One of my father’s favorite activities was the Aspen Music Festival. His volunteer work was something he enjoyed and was grateful to take part in. Most of all, he enjoyed his writing and participation in his editorials to The Aspen Times over the years. As a retired and disabled veteran of the armed forces, I believe the freedom to speak at will is a privilege that none of us should take for granted. Thank you again, audience, and the community as a whole. My father will always be in Aspen in spirit.John GamblinLyndonville, Vermont
