Tax dollars for commuters

Dear Editor:I have noticed, this past offseason no less, that the midvalley RFTA Park & Rides have been full. The valleys commuters have chosen to park their cars and take a bus and get out of traffic for many good reasons! To address the need for larger and better Park & Rides, RFTA is asking the voters to vote yes on 4A so they can obtain federal funds to help pay for the needed larger Park & Rides. They also can purchase more buses to meet the increasing demand in ridership they have experienced this past offseason.See for yourself how far the new 4A tax dollars (3 to 4 cents on each $10 dollar purchase) will go for improvements to the new Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system by checking out the website concur with my political friend Jeffrey Evans admonishment that this subject is too important not to research and study this issue before you vote.Vote for a better BRT system valleywide and get more bang for our tax dollars. This new tax will provide funds to improve service for the bus-riding public by bringing RFTA into the high technology age. For more information, visit the website out the new, large, paved Buttermilk Park & Ride and see what our tax dollars can do in the future.Vote yes on 4A.Ron KinnellEl Jebel
