Taking care of the children

Dear Editor:

Vetoing the State Children’s Health Insurance Program because it’s “fiscally irresponsible” marks some kind of new low for the worst president in American history.

George Bush, who has spent $400 billion of OUR MONEY on an insane war that has produced nothing but death and destruction, is now telling us that we can’t afford $7 billion a year to make sure children’s medical bills are paid.

Oh, I forget, Bush also vetoed the SCHIP bill because it was a step toward “federalizing” the health care system. This from the man who recently said, “I mean, people have access to health care in America. After all, you just go to an emergency room.”

Is any further proof needed that we need new leadership?

Warm temperatures, lack of snowfall cause Sunlight Mountain Resort to push back opening day from Friday to a yet to be determined date. “We’re disappointed we couldn’t deliver this weekend, but when we do open, we want to open for good,” said Troy Hawks, Sunlight’s marketing and sales director.
