Take Andrew up on it

Dear Editor:

How lucky you are to have Andrew Kole running as your mayor. I have known Andrew for 30 years professionally and in later years, as a friend. We worked together at Warner Bros. Studios and on the road promoting their feature films in the late ’70s and early ’80s.

Andrew’s creativity in his work was unsurpassed and everyone at work followed his lead. As a co-worker, it was always a pleasure to see how much he could accomplish on each of his missions whether it was putting together a promotion or an idea for a completely new project. At the very least, it was always innovative and impressive.

Years later, Andrew and I have come together for another project, that of a nonprofit called Safe Chicks. Now in our 50s, we both want to help make our world in which we live a better place. He has been of great support in our efforts to teach personal safety to high school girls. Safe Chicks is a program that I created as a pro-active mother to empower our daughters to become more prepared in the face of life threatening violence.

With Andrew’s passion for children, we are hopefully going to bring this program to Aspen as we have done in many schools in the Denver area.

Andrew’s intelligence, boundless energy and passion for wanting to make Aspen the best it can be, is as good as you can ask from anyone. He is offering all this up for the taking. Take him up on it! You will be very glad you did.
