At about 7:30 p.m. officers with the Frisco Police Department responded to a call regarding a person acting “erratically” at the Whole Foods Market in Frisco, according to a statement from the town.

Police made contact with the person in the parking lot, where a Frisco officer was involved in a shooting. No officers were injured.

“With the suspect in custody, there is no current threat to the community regarding this incident,” said Frisco police chief Tom Wickman.

The Frisco Police Department is currently on scene of an officer-involved shooting near Whole Foods Market in Frisco, said Frisco spokeswoman Vanessa Agee.

Details surrounding the shooting are scarce. However, Agee said that a suspect has been taken into custody. Brent Boyer, a spokesman for St. Anthony Summit Medical Center, confirmed that a patient was brought to the hospital with a gunshot wound, but couldn’t provide any further details.

The investigation has been taken over by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
