Dear Editor:The Basalt Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts have just completed our recent chairlift sale. The sale was a tremendous success and we wish to thank those individuals and businesses who helped make it such a success! A special thank-you to the Aspen Skiing Co. for donating the chairlift chairs to us for our fund-raiser.We would also like to thank KSNO, The Aspen Times, Aspen ReproGraphics, Pacific Sheet Metal, City Market-El Jebel, Holmbeck Construction, Diane Neville, Welch Excavating, Barry Cryer of Telephone Systems Consultants, Ron and Stacy Wallace, Victor Gerdin, Hans Hohl and all the people who bought a chairlift chair from us.The funds will be used to support local Girl Scout and Boy Scout activities. The Boy Scouts are fund raising to attend the 2005 National Jamboree, as well as local troop activities. The Girl Scouts will be using money for troop, service unit and community service projects.We are thankful to live in such a wonderful community.
