Support reusable-bag program

Dear Editor:

Waste Free Roaring Fork and the Aspen Democracy Initiative invite all community members to join us for lunch Tuesday at City Hall beginning at noon.

If you or someone you know is interested in getting involved with the reusable-bag program, please come. Attendees will be asked to sign up to be “bag ambassadors” and will be able to choose from a variety of activities such as letter writing or answering questions and giving out bags at grocery stores. The main focus is to spread the word to residents and visitors as we approach May 1, when Aspen’s grocery stores will be plastic-free.

Please come show your community pride and get involved. More information is available at or on Waste Free Roaring Fork’s Facebook page.
