Support fantastic for seniors’ event
Dear Editor:
On May 31, nearly 200 RSVP senior volunteers celebrated their contributions to Garfield County, as their efforts in more than 60 of our local nonprofits were acknowledged and highlighted. We are proud of each and every one of them. I know that your life has been touched and improved by their contributions in direct and indirect ways.
I encourage you to review the list of contributors who provided financial and in-kind support to make this yearly event really terrific. You will notice that as you see thanks regularly from area nonprofits, many of these businesses are listed over and over. My personal gratitude to each of you for supporting our RSVP organization and our senior volunteers who work with us ” and for saying a resounding “yes” each time you are asked to share your blessings. As our volunteers make a difference daily, as businesses, you do too! Many contributors gave us significant financial contributions and restaurants offered meals to seniors so they could “go out on the town”! Support from all our communities is simply fantastic!
