Summit for Life kickoff party set

Aspen Times staff report
Aspen, CO Colorado

ASPEN – A kickoff party for the 5th annual Summit for Life will take place from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursday in the Grape Bar at the Hyatt Grand Aspen.

Summit for Life is an evening uphill race on Aspen Mountain, sponsored by the Chris Klug Foundation, which raises awareness and money for organ donation. This year’s race is scheduled for Dec. 11, but the kickoff party – featuring free food and drink – is about registering participants for the signature event.

The Grape Bar is located in the Hyatt, at 415 E. Dean St. in Aspen. Brad Manosevitz will provide live music for the occasion, and a 16-minute video from the Foundation, titled “Know the Facts, Share your Decision,” will be shown.

Attendees at the kickoff party may sign up for the Dec. 11 uphill race or two related events happening on Dec. 10 – the annual Wine and Dine for Life, a $250 wine pairings dinner at Pacifica Seafood and Raw Bar, or the Party for Life, a $50 party after the wine pairings dinner, also at Pacifica.

All events are fundraisers for the Foundation and the cause of organ donation. To learn more, go to or contact Holly at 970-274-0832 or
