Dear Editor:

I would like to publicly thank everyone involved in Soupsköl for welcoming my students, the Aspen High School ProStart Program, to the competition. We are learning about culinary arts and the hospitality industry (a two-year vocational program) and last Friday night they saw how wonderful this community of chefs within our community can be.

A special thank you to Conundrum Catering for allowing us to borrow equipment, without which we would have been serving cold soup! It was a great experience for these hard-working students, and I appreciate the opportunity to participate.

Looking forward to the Chocolate Classic!
