Stretch your body, expand your mind

Dear Editor:

The Aspen Yoga Society was formed to honor the Aspen Idea – nursing mind, body and spirit – and also to bring the yoga community together.

Please join us as we bring together some of the best teachers in the valley to showcase their specific style of yoga from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on March 3 and 10 at the Aspen Club for the first-ever Yoga Sampler.

On March 3, learn about Iyengar yoga from Trishka Lemos; Bikram and Synergy from Amanda Dykann; Kundalini from Himat; and Viniyoga from Evan Rachel Soroka. These are some of the best teachers showcasing the styles of yoga that are nearest and dearest to their hearts – a wonderful opportunity to learn and to expand horizons!

On March 10 we will continue the series at the large studio generously donated by the Aspen Club with Courtney Smith teaching Ashtanga yoga, Sharon Caplan teaching Vinyasa yoga, Meggan Bly Humphrey teaching Anusara, and River Morgan showcasing restorative Yin yoga.

This is a donation-based class, open to the public, with all proceeds going toward Yoga Ed, an Aspen Yoga Society initiative to bring yoga and Body Breaks into area schools. More info is at
