Stop unnecessary salting

Dear Editor:Friday, Feb. 16, I arrived at work bright and early, in time to find Johnny City Worker, spreading little salt pellets all over the mall as it was beginning to snow. This particular snowfall was just beginning, and I wondered why they were salting when they would need the brush machines shortly.Sure enough, an hour later, the army of Steiner brushes was cleaning up the new fallen snow along with the salt pellets that were just laid. Can we stop the unnecessary salting? Think a little, city of Aspen, you’ve got the Canary Initiative going while your sending piles of salt straight into our streams! Get real and stop the madness, use your brains a little!Mike TreckerAspen
