Stop the killings

Dear Editor:

Those who have dark and disturbing memories of the Holocaust must speak out and cry out as Libyan protesters are being slaughtered. Is America not the leader of the international community of nations? As was said in 1943 by Josiah DuBois, the killing of men, women and children by Germany, “America is acquiescing in the murder of European Jews.” Once again we stand and observe killings. Have we lost once again as in Kosovo, our moral compass? Shame on us, the U.N., and the world! Is genocide business as usual?

There is so much we all can do. Airlift arms, medical and food supplies. If the Libyan air force tries to stop humanitarian aid, then blast them out of the sky. “No fly,” you bastards. That’s what I have been paying my taxes for.
