Stop dumping on tourists
Dear Editor:
After reading the articles by Scott Condon (“On the trail: The trail that got my goat”) and Su Lum (column, “Out of the fire and into the skillet”) on Wednesday, both pretty much blasting our tourists, I’m sure glad I’m considered a local.
Scott implied the tourists clog our hiking trails, making it feel, to him, like a stroll through a New York subway, and Su is awaiting the great toilet flush, ridding the town of the non-locals.
Gee, folks, with our economy here pretty much dependent on the influx of tourist dollars because we sure don’t have any industry to speak of, let’s not be so negative in a paper that they are sure to pick up and read.
