Stonebridge supports Base Village

Dear Editor:At the December meeting of the Stonebridge Condominium Association, the board of directors voted to come out endorsing the Base Village project as approved by the Snowmass Village Town Council. We believe that the ski experience and the village are in need of upgrading and the benefits of the current plan far outweigh the disadvantages. Change is happening exponentially and it is impossible to stand still. You either progress or you begin to go downhill in amenities as investment funds disappear. We believe that sound and controlled growth is best for Snowmass and the current plan, in our opinion, meets that criterion. We have significant concerns about the possible operation of the cabriolet after reasonable hours. We understand that any operation of the cabriolet will be subject to a hearing of the village Town Council and we will make our views known at that time.We urge the voters of Snowmass to defeat the referendum and accept the current plan as approved by the Town Council.Howard Rudgepresident Stonebridge Condominium Association
