Step up care, Krabloonik

Dear Editor:

Krabloonik has had a history of conducting business where it profits from the skins of its dogs. We know Dan MacEachen won’t change, and many (not all) Snowmass Town Council members have been protecting him for too long. The public needs to understand and intervene further to reveal the truth. It is enough of this cover up.

Krabloonik owner Dan MacEachen and manager Guy Courtney keep trying to play the “poor me” game. Taking the dogs off the chains for one hour per week only during off season is pathetic. They should be doing everything they can to exercise and care for these dogs that pay their bills. Dan and Guy do not have to keep 250 dogs on the property, but the town of Snowmass allows it. Because of this number, they have to hire two extra people to take them off the chains in the summer for the measly one hour per week. As a result Dan MacEachen states, “That’s tough in this economy.” Give it up, Dan.

Dan leases the land for $1 per year, but can’t figure out how to care for the dogs? Figure it out already, and stop blaming detractors and everyone else. Raise the standards of care that would make the valley proud rather than disgusted.
