Steamboat ski resort VP to be CEO at Squaw Valley

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. – Longtime Steamboat Ski Resort executive Andy Wirth is resigning to become chief executive officer of Squaw Valley USA Ski Resort in California.

Wirth will take over for Squaw Valley founder Alex Cushing’s widow, Nancy Cushing, who is retiring. Wirth had been senior vice president of marketing and sales at Steamboat. His last day at Steamboat will be July 23.

Winter Park resort’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, Rob Perlman, will add marketing of Steamboat to his responsibilities beginning July 26. He plans to move to Steamboat Springs.

Intrawest manages both Steamboat and Winter Park.

Perlman was a vice president of sales and marketing at Steamboat from 2008 to 2009.
