Stay right on the road

Dear Editor:

On Aug. 3 (“Letter to the Editor”), Lanz Welch claimed we should walk on the left side of the road, facing oncoming traffic.

This is wrong. In Colorado all bikes, cars and pedestrians should stay right. Look it up at CDOT’s Colorado rules-of-the-road Web page.

Facing oncoming traffic is dangerous and frustrating to lawful right-side users. Please ignore Welch’s advice and stay right.
