State senator to speak in Aspen

ASPEN ” State Sen. Gail Schwartz will explore the future of Colorado in Aspen on Friday.
Aspen’s Community Development Department is sponsoring a speaker series, “Exploring the Future.” The goal is to provide training and education for the city’s decision makers, as well as foster a dialogue among Aspen’s citizens about issues affecting the community.
Schwartz, a Snowmass Village resident, will make an Aug. 17 appearance in the series, discussing Colorado legislation at the Doerr-Hosier Center at Aspen Meadows. Doors for the 5 p.m. talk open at 4:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
