State golf results: Aspen High School boys finish ninth overall at RainDance

The prep golf season came to a close on Tuesday with Aspen High School finishing ninth as a team in the Class 3A state tournament, held over two days at RainDance National Resort & Golf in Windsor.
Resurrection Christian ran away with its first championship, shooting a collective 456 to beat runner-up Peak to Peak (475) by 19 strokes. In third was Vail Mountain with 488.
The Skiers shot 532 to sneak into the top 10 among the 14 scoring teams.
Individually, Peak to Peak’s Om Mathur won with 147 (3-over) shot over two rounds. In second was Vail Mountain’s Stewie Bruce and Resurrection Christian’s Jack Carter, who tied with 149.
Aspen’s best result came from senior Sasha Forman, who finished tied for 32nd overall with 173. AHS junior Ryan Rigney tied for 34th with 174, and senior Matthew Cairncross tied for 57th with 185.
The Skiers won the 3A boys golf state title in both 2018 and 2021, not to mention Nic Pevny’s individual title as a junior in 2020.
Basalt’s only recorded score from RainDance was from senior Jase Joslin, who shot 178 to tie for 47th place.
