Aspen, CO ColoradoSNOWMASS VILLAGE On Friday, Dec. 1, the Westin Snowmass hosted a winter kick-off party at the future site of their Base Village location. Guests valeted their cars at The Timbers Club in Snowmass, then quickly sauntered over to the slopes for the tented event. Sporting the Westin’s signature spa robes, servers passed hors d’oeuvres and aperitifs throughout the evening. Crave Kitchen and Catering provided the savory dishes, while Bobby Yang and his Unrivaled Players entertained the crowd. Renowned for their unique rhythmic mix on violin, guitar and drums, the quartet covered relics from “Sweet Child of Mine” to “Hey Joe.”
In the entry tent, a display model of The Snowmass Westin illustrated the plans for the impending Base Village Residences. The project’s first phase will be completed in the spring of 2009 with 155 whole-ownership condominium-hotel units. A second phase will feature an additional 75 units slated for a winter 2009 completion.
The Westin Snowmass Residences will work in partnership with the Skico who will operate and manage the facilities. Onsite amenities will include a ski concierge service, an après outdoor warming patio, restaurants, a state-of-the art fitness center, a Westin’s Kids’ Club and more.
Touting the Renaissance of Snowmass, Westin representatives and Skico CEO Mike Kaplan shared the stage, welcoming all to the event and toasting to the forthcoming design and construction.
