St. Mary Catholic Church to hold St. Paddy’s Day dinner on March 16

St. Mary Catholic Church will host its 131st annual St. Patrick’s Day Fundraising Dinner on Thursday, the day before March 17, because of Lent.

The event is held to raise funds for St. Mary’s Charity Assistance Fund, which distributes proceeds to those in need throughout the Roaring Fork Valley.

The dinner menu has remained the same for the past 131 years with roast beef and pork roast, homemade mashed potatoes, coleslaw, green beans and desserts served with ice cream. Festivities will include Irish music from The Crowlin’ Ferlies.



A silent auction will be held from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Items will include Aspen Skiing Co. lift tickets, dinners at Hotel Jerome and local restaurants, retail gift certificates, artwork and other items.

The dinner is free, but donations can be made to the Charity Assistance Fund. Donations also can be made at http://www.stmaryaspen.org. All online donations are tax deductible.
