Squirm Night is Thursday for Pitkin County contests

ASPEN – Two debates featuring candidates for Pitkin County commissioner and the county sheriff will be held Thursday in Aspen City Council chambers.
County commissioner candidates Rob Ittner and Jack Johnson will square off from 6-7 p.m. Sheriff candidates Joe DiSalvo and Rick Leonard will debate from 7-8 p.m.
The first 20 minutes will be devoted to questions from Bob Ward, editor of The Aspen Times, and Carolyn Sackariason, editor of the Aspen Daily News.
The second 20 minutes will allow questions from the audience, and the final 20-minute segment will include candidates asking each other questions.
The event is sponsored by The Aspen Times and Aspen Daily News, and will be aired on Grassroots Community Television.
Car crash on Colorado Highway 82 causes trouble for morning commute
A car crash on Highway 82 near Snowmass Village had traffic down to one lane for about an hour early Tuesday morning. No serious injuries were reported.
