Spring Board seeks members

Aspen Times staff report
Aspen, CO colorado

ASPEN – The Spring Board is seeking new members who will work toward the group’s goal of increasing young people’s community involvement in the Roaring Fork Valley.

Membership is open to individuals between the ages of 21 and 35 who reside in the valley, from Aspen to Glenwood Springs.

The board recommends grants to area nonprofit organizations through the Spring Board Advised Fund of the Aspen Community Foundation. The board’s mission is to engage the younger generation in the valley and empower them to invest in the community through charitable giving and volunteering.

Board members serve a two-year term that begins in April 2010. Those interested in interviewing for a seat on the board should send an email with biographical information and/or a resume, plus a letter of interest and two letters of recommendation (each limited to one page) to alison.n.friedman@gmail.com. The deadline is March 3.

Applications received after the deadline will be considered for board seats that come open after April 2010.
