Soccer: Aspen U12 girls win Sports Authority Cup

The tournament-winning Aspen United Soccer Club U12 girls celebrate in Grand Junciton. The Aspen United Soccer Club U12 national girls team won the championship at the 2015 Sports Authority Colorado Soccer Association Cup in Grand Junction last weekend.

The Aspen U12 girls completed an undefeated fall season, winning every match in the Western Slope State League, an affiliate of the Colorado Youth Soccer Association.

The Aspen girls defeated Glenwood Springs 1-0 to win the tournament championship and complete the undefeated season.

"These girls have worked hard this season and their hard work and determination has paid off," said Nicole Tarumianz of the Aspen United Soccer Club.

The team is coached by Tom Sherlock.
