Sports talk tonight

As members of the Aspen Youth Center’s Education Series Committee, we work hard to bring interesting and current speakers to our community who will assist parents.

We not only work hard to bring in informative speakers, but we also have to work hard selling tickets. Today Bob Bigelow and Jim Thompson will be presenting “Beyond the Scoreboard: A Winning Strategy for Youth Sports,” at the District Theater at 5:30 p.m. Both are experts on coaching from a child’s, parent’s and coach’s perspective.

Every parent that has a coach or an instructor in their child’s life should be interested in this seminar. Coaches and/or instructors have an enormous impact on our children’s lives.

As a community, we need to be educated and proactive on topics that relate to our youth. Not only have we provided these great speakers, but dinner will be available for $5 and FREE babysitting will be also available at the Aspen Youth Center. Tickets are $20 and are available at the door or at the Youth Center at 544-4133. Please support the youth of our valley – they deserve it!
