Spellbound students

Dear Editor:

The Spellbinder for my English language class is Ms. Sylvia. She comes to us once a month to tell stories. I am amazed by how much she puts into preparing for my class to tell stories.

I had expressed my concern in the beginning of the school year about my students who are English language learners, most of whom are new to the country. Since then Ms. Sylvia has come prepared with pictures and has told stories in such an animated way that encourages my kids to participate. The stories she’s chosen for us are repetitive so my class can really grasp the meaning. They are excited when she comes. We appreciate Ms. Sylvia’s enthusiasm in telling us stories.
