Speculation on birth certificate is absurd

Dear Editor:

I’m responding to Will Kesler’s letter that appeared in the April 9 Aspen Times (“What about Obama?”).

Kesler contends the president’s birth certificate “contains many alterations” and is therefore not authentic. Mr. Kesler, it’s time to give it up. If you don’t approve of a black man being president, say so, but please don’t make us go through the old Donald Trump thing again.

And think about this – now that the Supreme Court has ruled that strip-searching is an OK thing to do, if your seat belt isn’t fastened and the police pull you over, you can be taken to jail and strip-searched to find out whether you have concealed drugs strapped to your genitals. That’s almost as absurd as being elected the president of the United States and being accused of being born in another country.
