Special people in Aspen

Last Sunday I experienced a serious eye problem, which caused great pain and temporary loss of almost all vision. I had to go to the emergency room at the hospital.

I managed to get to the crosstown shuttle and then to the Castle-Maroon bus. Both the drivers were aware of my situation and were most helpful and compassionate.

The Castle-Maroon driver even took the bus to the emergency room entrance because he realized my predicament. The Castle-Maroon driver on the way back stopped as close as he could to where I needed to alight.

Only in Aspen would one find such helpful and sympathetic people. They were aware of my pain and loss of vision and went out of their way to help. The staff at the emergency room under Dr. Scott Gallagher was also caring, efficient and helpful.

Please don’t lose these rare qualities of humanity, Aspen. You are a very special place with very special people.
