Southern discomfort

Dear Editor:

Well golly gee, Chris Tessem, I’m such a Southern hick. Y’all all knows so much stuff here that ya never hears about down South. I know I’m just a vehicle for your dislikes, but thanks for proving my point ” you are a bigot ” a nasty hate-filled bigot who only feels good about himself when he puts down “others.”

Your making fun of Southern colloquialisms is proof enough of how you feel about “them.” What other groups are on your list of those beneath you? Do you feel the same way about blacks, Hispanics, women, and gay people? Few bigots can turn off their feelings of superiority with just one group ” they almost always lord it over the many segments of society they don’t associate with.

I also realize that reading comprehension is not on your list of skills. Let me repeat myself. I have no problem with you and Basalt saying “no” to development; my objection was to your saying “no” because the company was a Texas corporation and not an Ohio one. By all means say “no thanks” to those greedy developers who want to rape the land and ruin your quality of life, just try to muzzle your bigotry and hate in the process ” or at least apply it to everyone so it is not so obvious. And unfortunately I own no Whole Foods stock, although I sure wish I did. Whole Foods has been very successful at meeting the demands and needs of customers, employees and shareholders ” making a nice return for each in the process.
