Solutions, not highways
October 10, 2002
Paul Andersen’s colum of Oct. 7 could not have more squarely hit the proverbial nail on the head. If anyone missed his column, entitled “The Straights vs. the Curves” regarding the Entrance to Aspen debate, they should stop by The Aspen Times and read it in a back issue.
It is incredible to me that a community like Aspen could lack the foresight and vision to embrace environmentally sensitive technologies to solve our transportation problems.
It is truly a sad day when a community like Aspen is satisfied with debating two highway alignment options, while refusing to solve our very real transportation problems with sustainable and visionary solutions.
