Social Distortion to play Snow Daze

VAIL ” Social Distortion, the iconic punk rock band definitive of the Southern California punk scene since the late 1970s, is the latest addition the Vail Snow Daze musical lineup.

Organizers of the three-night musical bash that is part of the week-long Snow Daze, Dec. 3-9, have also announced the first-ever festival concert pass, which will allow purchasers to attend all of the performances for one price. Actually, it’s two prices ” $72.50 in advance or $97.50 after Nov. 30. A limited number of the passes will be sold.

Social Distortion joins a lineup that already featured reggae artist Ziggy Marley and Ludacris and The Roots. Both Social Distortion (Friday, Dec. 7) and Marley (Thursday, Dec. 6) will play Vail’s Dobson Ice Area, while Ludacris and The Roots take the stage at Ford Park on Saturday, Dec. 8.

Individual tickets to both Marley and Social Distortion are $25 in advance and $35 after Nov. 30. Show time both nights is 7 p.m.

Rapper Ludacris opens for jazz-jam band The Roots at 4 p.m. Individual tickets are $40 in advance and $50 after Nov. 30.
