Snowmass made its mark this weekend as two of the biggest events of the Food & Wine Classic took place in Base Village.

Grand Cochon, one of the most popular annual parties during the Classic in Aspen, moved to the Viceroy Snowmass this year where it could have more space to grow. Ten chefs cooked whole pigs and served their dishes to the approximately 500 people in attendance.

As if that weren’t enough, organizers from the Cochon U.S. Tour also brought Heritage Fire, a live outdoor cooking event, to Snowmass for its first event outside of Napa Valley. Over 45 notable chefs and butchers from Colorado, along with top chefs from around the country, prepped 3,000 pounds of sustainably raised heritage breed animals and other proteins on spits and over live fires all day long on June 19 on Fanny Hill.
