"'Jacques Brel is Alive and Well in Paris' and in Aspen according to the Man Dinner Theatre," the Night Beat section of The Aspen Times reported on June 22, 1972. "Operating as a straight Repertory Theatre last winter, MAX is combing theatre with dinner and drinks for the first time. Located at the Timbermill on the mall in Snowmass Resort, the dinner theatre will offer a rotating series of three productions this summer, according to director Gilbert Brand: 'Jacques Brel, … Luv, and the Best of Broadway.' Shows will be presented Saturday, Sunday and Monday evening. All three productions will be in full-swing by mid-July. In addition to regular members of MAX, a number of Aspenites will be participating in productions this summer, according to Brand."
