Snowmass fire calls: July 6 to 12

The Snowmass-Wildcat Fire Protection District responded to the following emergency calls from July 6 to 12.

JULY 6

Wildland deployment to the Breckenridge fire. Brush 71 was sent with three firefighters.

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance to respond to a medical call on Mandalay Lane for a person suffering from shortness of breath. Our response was canceled.

Special event standby for injuries at a polo game at Sopris Mountain Ranch.

Mutual aid requested by Basalt Fire to stand by at Station 41 for additional calls in their district.

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Fire Department for a structure fire in a home on Juniper Hill Drive. The fire was extinguished by the owner. Crews made sure that the fire hadn’t spread and completed overhaul.

Medical call at 105 Daly Lane, the Snowmass Clinic, for a person suffering from a broken arm. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

JULY 7

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance to respond to a medical call at the intersection of Owl Creek Road and Mandalay Lane for a person injured in a bike accident. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Medical call to 239 Snowmass Club Circle for a person who had fainted. One person was evaluated at the scene and refused transportation to the hospital.

Fire alarm at a home on Divide Drive. The alarm system was activated by construction dust.

Medical call to 400 Wood Road, the pool area at the Crestwood Condominiums, for a person who had fainted. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

JULY 8

Fire alarm at 239 Snowmass Club Circle, the Snowmass Lodge and Club. The alarm system was activated by a possible malfunction as no smoke or fire conditions were found.

Fire alarm at 35 Lower Woodbridge Road, the Woodbridge Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by steam.

Fire alarm at a home on Horse Ranch Drive. The alarm system was activated by a possible malfunction as no smoke or fire conditions were found.

Gas alarm at a home on Burnt Mountain Drive. The alarm system was activated by a possible malfunction as no gas was detected at the scene.

JULY 9

Fire alarm at 35 Lower Woodbridge, the Woodbridge Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by steam.

Fire alarm at 70 Commons Circle, the Commons employee-housing complex. The alarm system was activated by a possible malfunction as no smoke or fire conditions were found.

JULY 10

Medical call to 5307 Owl Creek Road, the Snowmass Chapel, for a person who had cut their knee. Our response was canceled. They went to the hospital by private vehicle.

Fire alarm at a home on Horse Ranch Drive. The alarm system was activated by a possible malfunction as no smoke or fire conditions were found.

Gas alarm at a home on Two Creeks Drive. The alarm system was activated by a possible malfunction as no combustible gas was detected.

Medical call to 600 Carriage Way, the Aspenwood Condominiums, for a person who had fallen in the shower and not completely alert. One person was transported code to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

JULY 11

Carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Faraway Road. The alarm system was activated by a possible malfunction as no carbon monoxide was detected in the house.

Fire alarm at a home on Streamside Court. The alarm system was activated by a possible malfunction as no smoke or fire conditions were found.

JULY 12

Medical call to Pine Lane, the Snowmass Rangers pick-up location, for a person suffering from a clavicle injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for treatment.

Carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Divide Drive. The alarm system was activated by a possible malfunction as no carbon monoxide was detected in the house.

Fire alarm at a home on Wood Road. The alarm system was activated by smoke from a welding operation.
