Letter: Thankful for help in healing

We would like to thank this wonderful community for all its love, support, prayers, phone calls, emails, texts, cards, gifts and visits that were so appreciated during our time at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction and once we were back at home.

A huge thank-you to our incredible neighbors at the Crossings for their endless giving from taking care of our house and the bird to fall leaf cleanup, snow shoveling, snowblowing, plowing our driveway all winter (Jeff Sivess!) delicious food drop-offs, cheerful check-ins, rides to the club, and the list goes on. Neighbors who can never be replaced — thank you!

Thank you also to our respective fellow employees at Snowmass Lodging Co. and Aspen Skiing Co. for love, support and understanding, especially to Mike George at SLC!

Thank you to all the homeowners at the Enclave who reached out with love, concern and beautiful cards, emails, flowers and gifts. Your ongoing support has been so appreciated.

A heartfelt thank-you to Jacqueline and Suzanne for their wonderful ongoing challenging and healing physical therapy at the club.

Thank you to the first responders here in Snowmass for their quick and professional care and to the emergency-room staff at Aspen Valley Hospital, which was so caring and reassuring at a frightening time, and of course to the great helicopter crew for a safe trip to Grand Junction.

A huge thank-you and shout-out to the staff of St. Mary’s Hospital. Its care was incredible, its rehab over the top. We are all very lucky to have such a top-notch regional hospital so close by.

We are so proud to call Snowmass Village our home, and thank-yous will be long coming as you all continue to help on this ongoing road to recovery. Not only does it “take a village to raise a child,” it takes a village to heal a man.
