Mudderella, the obstacle course challenge designed for women, by women, will head to Snowmass Village on Aug. 22, empowering participants to work together and have fun while completing a course of 11 obstacles. This premier outdoor obstacle event and mud run delivers high-energy obstacles testing participants’ endurance, willpower and strength in a positive environment shared with like-minded, strong women.

“Mudderella is about encouraging and motivating women to ‘own your strong’ and unlock their true strength while having a great time,” said Zoe Schwartz, brand director. “We’re looking forward to heading to Snowmass Village this year to deliver this unique experience to more women in this region.”

The Mudderella Colorado event includes 11 intense and invigorating obstacles designed by women. Obstacles at this course include Hat Trick, Dirty Downward Dog and Tough Tatas.

“Snowmass Village is a beautiful and incredibly scenic venue, and we’re so excited to bring Mudderella to the area,” Schwartz added. “Women will take on nearly 5 miles of obstacles while owning their strong, having a great time with friends, and enjoying the view.”

To reinforce participants’ focus on personal aspirations and fitness, Mudderella events are not timed. Teamwork is essential to completing the course, and the events focus on bringing people together to overcome obstacles and have fun. Men are encouraged to join teams in support of their wives, daughters, sisters, mothers, friends and coworkers, or to come out as spectators.

For the first time this year, Mudderella will also have Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder, a one-mile obstacle course created just for kids ages 7-12. Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder gives kids the chance to work together as a team, get muddy and experience the thrill of adventure.

Each event kicks off with a “Stretch + Strengthen” session to warm up for the day’s challenge. On the other side of the finish line, teams can visit the “Rinse + Revive” station to freshen up and relax, then celebrate with friends, protein bars, beer and music. For 2015, Mudderella has partnered with Athleta, Shock Top, St. Ives, Pure Protein, Speed Queen, Oberto and Toyo Tires to enhance the experience for participants and spectators.

Mudderella is also partnering with Futures Without Violence again in 2015. Futures Without Violence is a national nonprofit making strides toward preventing and ending domestic violence. Mudderella is committed to giving women a great event experience, as well as supporting an important cause through participant fundraising and on-site activations for Futures Without Violence.
