“‘Glass Menagerie’ as poignant as ever” related The Aspen Times on July 28, 1983. “After 40 years of being performed, little need be said about Tennessee William’s play, ‘The Glass Menagerie,’ except that is continues to be the most produced play in America because it is a universal tale about ordinary human beings struggling to survive. The play is being given an excellent production at the Snowmass Festival Theater. It is the second play produced by the American Theater Company through its Snowmass Festival of American Theater.” Pictured are Stephen Lang playing Tom and Rosemary Murphy playing Amanda rehearsing. The Snowmass Festival of American Theater was held in the Bedford Ballroom, where the Slopeside Lanes bowling alley is now located.
