Fire calls, June 29 to July 5

The Snowmass Wildcat Fire Protection District responded to the following calls from June 29 to July 5.

June 29

Fire alarm at the Holiday Inn Express. A pull station had been maliciously activated.

Medical call to the Westin Snowmass for a person who had fainted. One person was evaluated at the scene and refused transportation to the hospital.

Medical call to the Westin Snowmass for a person suffering from high blood pressure. One person was evaluated at the scene and refused transportation to the hospital.

Fire alarm at the Elk Camp Gondola storage area. The alarm was checked by Aspen Skiing Co. employees. No smoke or fire conditions were found.

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance District to respond to 39980 Highway 82 at the roundabout in Aspen for a car accident. The response was canceled.

Medical call to the glass elevator on Daly Lane for a person who was intoxicated. No one was found when we arrived on scene.

July 1

Fire alarm at the Willows Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by a possible malfunction as no fire or smoke conditions were found.

Medical call to the Stonebridge Inn for a person suffering from chest pain. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

July 2

Medical call to the Westin for a person suffering from an ankle injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Fire alarm at the Seasons Four condominiums. The alarm system was activated by construction dust.

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance to respond to 101 Founders Place for a medical call. Our response was canceled.

Fire alarm at the Crestwood Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

July 3

Medical call to the Mall ticket pavilion for a person suffering from an allergic reaction. One person was evaluated at the scene and refused transportation to the hospital.

Medical call to the Viceroy Snowmass for a person not feeling well. One person was evaluated at the scene and refused transportation to the hospital.

Medical call to Owl Creek Road at approximately the Red Barn for an unknown injury accident. The vehicle was gone by the time a crew arrived on scene.

Medical call to intersection of Sinclair Road and Terrace Drive for an intoxicated person experiencing hot flashes. One person was spoken to at the scene and released to the Snowmass Village Police Department.

July 4

Fire alarm at the Seasons Four condominiums. The alarm system was activated by steam from a shower.

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance to respond to Eagle Pines Drive for a person not feeling well. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance to respond to Pearl Court for a person suffering from coughing, chills, and not feeling well. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Fire alarm at the Crestwood Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error in the employee dorms.

Fire alarm at the Timberline Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by barbecue smoke blowing into the unit.

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Fire Department to standby in our District for additional calls in their district while they were working a structure fire.

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Fire Department to respond to South Aspen Street for a wildland fire. The response was canceled.

July 5

Fire alarm at a home on Forest Lane. The alarm system was activated by a malfunctioning heater/humidifier.

Medical call to the fire station for a person who walked in complaining of a rapid heart rate. One person was evaluated at the scene and refused transportation to the hospital.
