Staff report

The Snowmass Wildcat Fire Protection District responded to the following calls from Aug. 3-9.

August 3

Fire alarm at the Tamarack Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

Fire alarm on Meadow Road. Accidental activation caused by steam from a shower. Alarm was reset.

Rescue call to the Lichenhearth Condominiums for an elevator emergency. No emergency was found upon arrival. All elevators were empty and operating in a normal fashion with no one around.

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance District to standby at the fire station on East Hopkins Avenue while they were out on a call in Conundrum Creek.

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance for a medical call on Teal Court for a person suffering from back pain and dizziness. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Medical call to the Holiday Inn Express for a person complaining of a fast heart rate. One person was evaluated at the scene and refused transportation to the hospital.

Medical call to the Palisade Condominiums for a person who had drank rubbing alcohol and was breathing heavy. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

August 4

Fire alarm on Gamble Way. The alarm system was set off by construction dust in the house.

Medical call to the Elk Camp Work Road near Tower 13 for a person who had fallen and hurt their wrist. The Snowmass Mountain Rangers arrived on scene and the response was canceled.

Medical call to Brush Creek Lane for a person who was unconscious and not breathing. No transport was needed. The incident was turned over to the Snowmass Village Police Department. The Hope Center was called for the family.

Medical call to a home on Stellar Lane for a person having chest pain and problems breathing. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Fire alarm at the Viceroy Snowmass. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

August 5

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance for a medical call at the Grottos for two people requiring medical aid. Two people were transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Trail Rider Lane. The alarm system was activated by someone cleaning the unit. No carbon monoxide was detected.

Event standby at the Snowmass Rodeo. No injuries occurred.

Carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Faraway Road. The alarm system was activated by someone testing the system. No carbon monoxide was detected.

August 6

Medical call to the Snowmass Mall for a person suffering from knee pain. One person was evaluated at the scene and refused transportation to the hospital.

Fire call to upper Woodbridge Road for an odor investigation. The odor was caused by an electrical problem.

Medical call to Daly Lane for a person suffering from a lower leg laceration. One person was evaluated at the scene and refused transportation to the hospital.

Medical call to the fire station for a person who came by suffering from anxiety. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Event standby at the Sopris Mountain Ranch for a polo match. No injuries occurred.

Fire alarm at the Crestwood Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by maintenance. No smoke or fire conditions were found.

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance for a medical call on Club Circle. The response was canceled.

August 7

Fire alarm at a home on Fox Lane. The alarm system was activated by a possible system malfunction as no smoke or fire conditions were found.

Fire alarm at the Viceroy Hotel. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

Fire alarm at the Crestwood Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by construction dust.

August 8

Medical call to Daly Lane for a person having a seizure. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Medical call to a home on Meadow Road for a person having a seizure. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Medical call to Highline Trail for a possible injured biker. The patient was found on Owl Creek Road near the red barn and transported by Aspen Ambulance.

Fire alarm on Commons Circle. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

August 9

Medical call to the Funnel Work Road for a person suffering from a wrist fracture. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Fire alarm on Commons Circle. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

Medical call to Carriage Way for a person who was unconscious. One person was evaluated at the scene and refused transportation to the hospital.

Medical call on Owl Creek Road for a person injured in a bicycle accident. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance for a medical call on Castle Creek Road for a person who had fallen. One person was evaluated at the scene and refused transportation to the hospital.

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance for a medical call on East Hopkins Avenue for a person who had fallen and was not feeling well. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance to respond to Aspen Valley Hospital for an interfacility transport of a person having a heart attack and needing to be transported to Valley View Hospital for further treatment.
