Editor’s Note: Business as Usual is a series highlighting local businesses in Snowmass Village. It is published weekly in the Snowmass Sun.

Bia Hoi opened in Snowmass Base Village at the start of the 2013-14 ski season. Offering a little something different with its Southeast Asian cuisine, Bia Hoi is popular for lunch, dinner and après-ski, and as of this winter it is also now offering delivery. Owner/operators Jeff and Toni Armstrong are now not only making their mark on Snowmass’ restaurant scene but are also raising their family in the valley.

Snowmass Sun: How did your business start?

Toni Armstrong: We (Jeff and Toni) were recruited by Related to open a restaurant here in Snowmass Base Village. Having always wanted to live and raise a family in the Roaring Fork Valley we jumped at the opportunity.

Snowmass Sun: What services or goods do you sell?

Toni Armstrong: Bia Hoi offers a full-service restaurant and bar with unique Asian eats. We offer flavor from Southeast Asia: Ribeye Pho, barbecue meats, noodles, sticky wings. We serve a variety of beers to match our cuisine and have an extensive whiskey offering.

Snowmass Sun: What makes your business unique?

Toni Armstrong: Bia Hoi brings something different to Base Village: a diversity of flavors that you don’t normally see at a ski resort. We have a big-city feel.

Snowmass Sun: Who is your primary clientele?

Toni Armstrong: Our primary clientele is a growing number of locals who appreciate what we bring to Base Village. We also have tourists from all over the world who are visiting Snowmass and Aspen. In the summer we have tons of groups and events that we cater to.

Snowmass Sun: What is the best thing about running a business in Snowmass?

Toni Armstrong: Running a business in Snowmass is very exciting; no two days are the same. With the upcoming construction and development of Base Village we are looking forward to the increased vitality of Base Village and Snowmass becoming a year-round destination.
