Editor’s Note: Business as Usual is a series highlighting local businesses in Snowmass Village. It is published weekly in the Snowmass Sun.

Summer’s winding down, how about you? Since 2009, the Viceroy Snowmass has offered a spa experience unlike any other in the village. Leticia Hanke, Related director of marketing, takes a look at what the Base Village hotel’s spa has to offer.

Snowmass Sun: How did your business start?

Leticia Hanke: We opened with the Viceroy Snowmass hotel on Thanksgiving 2009.

Snowmass Sun: What services or goods do you sell?

Leticia Hanke: Designed by Jean Michel-Gathy, the 7,000-square-foot spa at the Viceroy Snowmass Resort and Residences offers a lavish selection of holistic wellness experiences, from Ute Indian-inspired therapies to contemporary beauty rituals. A true sanctuary located in the heart of Snowmass, the Viceroy Snowmass Spa offers six luxurious treatment rooms including a hydrotherapy Vichy shower room, a luxurious couple’s suite as well as a meditative relaxation lounge.

Snowmass Sun: What makes your business unique?

Leticia Hanke: The Viceroy Snowmass Spa is the only full-service luxury spa in Snowmass. It offers guests the highest level of service coupled with personalized and indulgent treatments that embrace the timeless “mind, body and spirit” ethos of Aspen/Snowmass. The spa provides an elevated experience that residents and guests of our property cannot find anywhere else in the area.

Snowmass Sun: Who is your primary clientele?

Leticia Hanke: The primary clientele for our award- winning spa are area vacationers, year-round valleywide residents and second-home owners who hail from destinations around the globe.

Snowmass Sun: What is the best thing about running a business in Snowmass?

Leticia Hanke: The best thing about running a business in Snowmass is the sense of community and warmth felt by residents and visitors alike. For that reason, our spa experience deeply resonates with the people of Snowmass in a truly inspiring way.
