Snowmass numbered parking lots expected to fill up Thursday night

The town of Snowmass Village is trying to get the word out to motorists that they will likely not be able to park in the numbered parking lots during the free Thursday night concert today.

An event called “Mini in the Mountains” is staging in lots 8, 9 and part of 10, and with other groups booked in local hotels, the other numbered lots are already close to capacity, said Travis Elliot, assistant to the town manager.

Concert goers can ride buses from Aspen or Snowmass Village for free or park in the rodeo lot and shuttle up to the venue on Fanny Hill, Elliott said.

Thursday night’s performers will be Firefall, who this year were inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. The concert is from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Fanny Hill.
